Course Name: ADVANCED TRAINING FOR LIQUEFIED GAS TANKER CARGO OPERATIONS - UK MCA APPROVED
Entry Criteria:

UK MCA Coc and basic training for gas cargo operations, and must also have completed the tanker firefighting.

Course Duration: 5 Days 42 Hours
Course Description:

This course is for shipboard officers and any other person who have immediate responsibility for the cargo handling in port and care in transit. By successfully doing this course, the aforementioned shipboard personnel will fulfill the mandatory minimum requirements of regulation Section A-V/1-2 paragraph 2, as amended. The coverage of the course is wide in scope and includes gas tanker safety, fire safety measures and systems, prevention and control of pollution, operational practice and obligations under applicable laws and regulations, thereby covering all training necessary to apply the provisions of Annex I of MARPOL 73/78. In addition, the course covers the managerial aspects on board by including a section on risk assessment and management, as well as contingency planning that is in line with the ISM Code and the Ship Management System on board.

  • Safe Working Practices, Including Risk Assessment and Personal Shipboard Safety Relevant To Chemical Tankers
  • Procedures to Prevent Pollution of The Atmosphe re and The Environment
  • Chemical Tanker Emergency Procedures
  • MARPOL and Related IMO Codes and Conventions, Including Industry Guidelines, Port Regulations and IBC Code and Related Documents
  • Implementation of Vessel Safety Management System
  • Effective On-Board Safety Management Culture
  • Consequences of Non-Compliances.
