Course Name: CHEMICAL TANKER CARGO AND BALLAST HANDLING SIMULATOR - (DG APPROVED)
Entry Criteria:

Deck Officers Holding 2M (FG) CoC or NCV & completed CHEMCO Course

Course Duration: 5 Days 35 Hours
Course Description:

The course is approved by the Directorate General of Shipping and meets the requirements laid down in Regulation I/12, Sections A-I/12, B-I/12 and Table A-V/1-1-3 of the STCW Convention and Code as amended in 2010 and is in compliance with IMO Model Course 1.37. The Simulator is based on a real Parcel chemical tanker (IMO Type II & III) of 17000 DWT. Cargo system consists of 20 cargo tanks of stainless steeel construction, segregated ballast system, Framo cargo pumps, air/nitrogen stripping system, vapor control system of PV valves and fixed tank cleaning machines in cargo tanks. Vessel is provided with 20 manifolds and jumpers and can load upto 20 different grades of chemicals. Cargo plan is prepared on lodicator, which can also be monitored for on line stress parameters. Real time training is provided with Chief officer monitoring & controlling cargo operations in CCR & duty officer conducting operations on deck.
