Eligibility : the trainee should have:- 1. MEO Class lV Certificate of Competency issued by Government of lndia . 2. Not less than twelve months as Assistant Engineer Officer or Officer in charge of an Engineering watch on ships powered by main propulsion machinery of 750 kw propulsion power or more, after obtaining MEO class IV certificate of competency. |

A five day mandatory course for marine engineers, approved by DG of shipping India. At this level the Senior engineer who is in charge of watch keeping and engine room management is given specific training as per STCW-as amended in 2010. The course is based on IMO Model Course 2.07 “Engine Room Simulator” and covers the following training areas at the Management Level. |
