All Masters & Chief Officers (with a Master’s License)

Course Duration: 3 Days 24 Hours
Course Description:

As things are today the Ship’s Master has a challenging job at hand and the aspects of Command are changing. The job has become more demanding.

On the one side the Master has to motivate and get the best out of his crew, which is multinational and on the other side he has to be abreast of the latest national and international regulations and implement them. He is expected to maintain high personal and professional standards as well as be a good manager so that he can complete the voyage through delegation and exercising good judgment to keep the conflicting demands in balance as well as optimizing the owners returns on the venture.

The Ship Master’s unique authority, referred to as the ‘Over-riding authority of the Master’ has to be used judiciously. The ship’s Master is expected to contribute to the success of the Company and it is with this view that this course has been designed and developed.
