Periodic planned maintenance is essential to ensure trouble free and efficient operation of the machinery, prevent damage to equipment and reduce break downs. Main engine piston, exhaust valve and fuel injectors are the key components of a diesel engine. Their good health is vital for the efficiency of engine. Boiler burner is another component which directly affects the combustion condition in auxiliary boiler furnace. This module imparts structured hands on training to 2Es and 3Es on these components as well as their roles and responsibilities to make dry docking cost effective. |
