Course Name: MARITIME SAFETY MANAGEMENT MODULE 4 - ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION - 2
Entry Criteria:

Mstr, C/O, 2/O, 3/O (who as completed at least one contract as 3/O), C/E, 2/E & 3/E. Completed the AI CBT on the LMS. For Auditors: OBBS & SOC are exempted. A.I CBT is to be Completed, Once the A.I CBT is completed they will be eligible for the Accident investigation course on Saturday in case any candidate has not completed the A.I CBT they will be disqualified from attending the course on Saturday (Other ranks may be permitted upon approval from Principal / Vice - Principal)

Course Description:

    This module No. 4 - Accident Investigation forms a part of the Maritime Safety Management Course. This module is meant for shipboard officers who are required to carry out an onboard investigation of incidents and significant near misses and report them promptly to the QHSE department in the company. This involves immediate and basic causes to be identified after an incident and root cause analysed. It is based on DNV-GLs-Accident Investigation module and includes some elements from IMO- Model Course 3.11 and TMSA element 8. This training is covered in two stages - Stage 1: Accident Investigation – E-learning module; Stage 2: Accident Investigation Workshop – classroom based session – 1 day.
