Course Name: SAFETY AND QUALITY
Entry Criteria:

All officers who are new joiners to Anglo-Eastern or have completed only one ship with Anglo-Eastern.

Course Duration: 2 Days 16 Hours
Course Description:

This course has diverse topics ranging from HRD to Quality systems to Loss Prevention and Safety Culture. It forms a sort on an induction training program for new joiners to Anglo-Eastern.

Contents of the Course:

Human Resource development

    It covers topics like Communication, Motivation, Delegation, Work Ethics etc. believe that correct “attitude” of a person, in carrying out this job is extremely essential and in most case plays a more important role than “knowledge” or “skill” of the individual possesses.

Quality assurance Rules

    The ISM, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 Rules are explained to the staff.

Loss Prevention

    A brief introduction is made regarding the subject of Risk Management, which gained more importance in our industry recently. The types of risk exposure shipowner and the Loss Prevention techniques to be used as well as brief idea insurance, liability exposure, P & I clubs and deductible is explained. The importance of loss prevention and minimization of losses is the theme for this training.

General Safety Awareness, Shipboard Oil Pollution Prevention Plan and Audit Feedback from the fleet.

These topics are covered in the form of discussions and table-top exercises.

    STCW 95 The main provisions of STCW 95 revision are taken up and its effect on Training and certification requirement for seafarers.
