Fresh GP Trainees from Deck and Engine Side

Course Duration: 10 Days 80 Hours
Course Description:

This course is designed to equip the shipboard GP Ratings (Deck and Engine Side) with the skills to perform their various Practical Tasks on Board, while at the same time to explain to them the Company’s general guidelines on the same, and to make them aware of the hazards involved in various tasks, so that they are able to perform the Task efficiently and safely.

Contents of the Course:

  • Able to perform practically, their various Deck and Engine side Tasks skillfully and efficiently.
  • Able to identify and appreciate the various hazards and risks involved in their various work situations and the care, precautions and safeguards that should be adopted to adequately guard against those risk.
  • Able to follow the safe working practices in any Task that commonly arise on ships for the Deck and Engine side Ratings.
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of various Company’s Guidelines and policies as regards the various Tasks being performed by Deck and Engine side Ratings.
